Is RTX 3070 Worth It?
No, despite its higher price point of $876, the GeForce RTX 3070 proves disappointing when purchased new. For a similar price, Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB has 20.3% better 3DMark score compared to GeForce RTX 3070.
In the realm of the used market, the GeForce RTX 3070 still maintains decent value for money, but GeForce RTX 2080 Ti has a 7.1% performance lead over the GeForce RTX 3070. Making it a moderate choice, neither remarkable nor disappointing.
PSU for RTX 3070
Recommended PSU for the RTX 3070: about 700 W — the card draws 220 W, a CPU such as the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X about 105 W, and doubling the total leaves headroom for transient spikes. Pick a unit from a reputable tier of the Cultists Network PSU Tier List.
